Healthy gums and teeth.

Gingivitis  note the redness on the gums around the tooth area, especially on the upper teeth and the slight build up of tartar.

If this build up of tartar continues then the gums will start to recede exposing the tooth's roots.

Severe tartar build up that harbours millions of bad bacteria. Note the gum recession on the lower tooth making that tooth vulnerable to infection, and look at the pus and gum recession on the upper back teeth. This is severe dental disease.
